Remember this is theatre - improvising is fine. A sense of occasion is important, time is of the essence and big chunky props are quite sexy. Once underway, you cannot nip to the shops, so prepare for as though you would any very important event. You want each stage to proceed seamlessly one after the other, so delegate precisely so everyone knows their roles in advance. Let the thing run itself. It has a life of its own. Imagine it’s a play.
