Transition US :: March 2012 e-newsletter
EXTRA EXTRA!... In Transition 2.0 movie launched!The North American version (NTSC for US & CAN DVD players) will soon be available through Transition US. You can pre-order your copy NOW, and we'll send them out as soon as they're ready! In January we shared the trailer for In Transition 2.0 in our resources section. The film has launched in its European version (PAL format)! Check out the story below about the film and what folks are saying about it. We’re anticipating that many Transition groups and initiatives will be keen on screening the film, so we are producing a version of the DVD formatted specifically for North American DVD players (NTSC) with subtitles in Spanish, French and English (for hearing impaired). With the Transition Challenge around the corner, it's the perfect movie for a kick off event to inspire and activate current and new allies in Transition! Are you ready to take the Challenge? Register your action so we can show the world just how powerful we are as a movement, then check out the Actions Map to see who else is taking on the challenge.

Resources(that Transition folk are reading and screening) So You Want An Intern? Thank you Russell Evan for sharing your video with us! Through some creative story telling, Russell tells us how he and his wife developed a model for transitioning their home by setting up an "urban internship." The Farmer and the HorseThe director is offering any official Transition group anywhere in the world the opportunity to host one free public screening of movie. The only cost would be the purchase of the DVD for $15. Let him know about your screening, and he'll help publicize them on The Farmer and the Horse website and Facebook page. FutureWeWant.org Imagine your world 20 years from now. What do you dream of for you, your family and your community? What would life look like if you could design it? The Future We Want is a global conversation to build the future through a positive vision for tomorrow. Thank you to Justin Kiritsis in Michigan for sharing!
