Hello all,
I wanted to let you all know that May 2021 will be my last month at Transition US.
I have truly enjoyed working with and learning from the Transition Movement over the last three years. The inspiring work we are doing locally, nationally, and internationally to reimagine and rebuild our world is what brought me to Transition US in the first place. I am confident that this movement will continue to grow & strengthen. I am excited for what’s on the horizon for Transition, with the crystallization of a strategic plan and long-term vision of an empowered network of Transition leaders.
During my time at Transition US, I am most proud of bringing clarity and functionality to the organization as the Director of Communications. I built Transition US’s first CRM database to help streamline our data, developed our new website to guide wider audiences in their first steps in Transition, and conducted a brand overhaul to help our movement stay relevant. Before leaving, I look forward to launching an updated comprehensive directory and map of Transition Initiatives later this month, and handing off a new giving program, Movement Sustainers to the trusted Transition US staff team.
In terms of what’s next for me, I’m shifting gears to focus on my passion for bringing fitness, nutrition, and mentorship to at-risk and under-resourced youth with Steve’s Club National Program. In addition to working at Transition US, I have worked as a fitness trainer on the South Side of Chicago for several years. I look forward to furthering positive change in my community through this lens.
